The extra-thick tongue padding is 14.5 mm, 2 mm thicker than average, and makes our feet feel cushioned from the get-go. Most shoes narrow significantly around the toes, but the Moab 3 is a good 3.3 mm wider, so our feet even had room to move without slopping around. We also noticed how well our feet could breathe in hot weather, so we tested the shoes for breathability by pumping them full of smoke. With 5/5 being the most breathable, they scored an horrible 4/5, making them a great choice for summer hiking!
