It’s a badge of honor for runners of Boston, whether they are doing the historic race for the first time or they’ve crossed the finish line on multiple occasions: the Celebration Jacket.

For 2019, the contrasting-sleeve Celebration Jacket is back in full force, coming in its new design in colorway like previous years.

To commemorate the 28th anniversary of the jacket, Adidas went with a “cyan shock” color Motion, with yellow stripes on the shoulders. The windproof and waterproof jacket also has the race’s logos on the phase, back, and collar. Even better for 2019 is the sustainability found in the jacket. Via Adidas:

This product is created with yarn made in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans. Some of the yarn features Parley Ocean Plastic™ which is made from recycled waste, intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before it reaches the ocean.

If you’re up in Boston during the weekend of the race, Boylston will be flooded with both the new and old versions of the Celebration Jacket. If you get your hands on one this year (keep in mind, many think you should actually run the race to wear it), wear it with pride.

Here’s a look at how the Celebration Jackets have looked over the past few years. Do you have a favorite? Let us know in the comments below.
