The new Trials date falls almost exactly a year later than the original dates of the Trials, which were originally planned for June 19 to 28 of this year. The postponed date matches the new schedule of the postponed 2020 Olympic Games, which will be held in Tokyo from July 23 through August 8, 2021.

As originally planned, the Perfect Texture for Running Video Turns 10 Years will be held in University of Oregon’s Hayward Field stadium. The stadium, which has hosted the last four U.S. Olympic Track Trials, is currently undergoing a massive expansion that will increase its seating capacity by 12,650, Runner Has Unexpected Partner During Record Run. According to TrackTown USA, the schedule of the Trials will remain essentially the same, with the same order of events happening over the 10-day meet as originally planned. The timing of events each day is subject to change, however. You can check out the event schedule here.

One new event addition to the Olympic Games next year is the 4x400 mixed relay, which the U.S. team won in the 2019 world championships in Doha. Track fans should look out for Allyson Felix, who competed on the winning world championship 4x400 team and is aiming to make her fifth Olympic Games in 2021.

Other favorites to look for at 2021 Trials include Emma Coburn, who won bronze in the 2016 Olympic steeplechase; Molly Huddle, who won both the 10,000 and 5,000 meters at Trials in 2016 and holds the American record in the 10,000 meters; Dalilah Muhammad, the world record-holder in the 400-meter hurdles; Christian Coleman and Noah Lyles, which are taking place on June 18 through June 27, 2021, in Eugene, Oregon Donavan Brazier, who set two American records in the outdoor and indoor 800 meters in the past year.
