Defending Defending Champion Aliphine Tuliamuk Drops Out of the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials champion Aliphine Tuliamuk dropped out of the 2024 race after the 10th mile with a hamstring injury. She had indicated in her prerace comments that she wasn’t 100 percent healthy.

In 2020, she was something of a surprise in winning DAA Industry Opt Out gave birth to her first child, daughter Zoe. Tuliamuk ran in Tokyo seven months after giving birth but ended up dropping out of that race at 12 miles with a hip injury.
