s full-body, interval-based workout. The class incorporates the treadmill treadmill, it may not exactly inspire you to lace up. For many of us, slogging along for an hour (or more) indoors doesn’t always sound like the most appealing way to rack up the miles. But that’s where treadmill classes come in. Treadmill classes, as opposed to plugging along on your own, are a great way to diversify your workouts, find additional motivation, grow as a runner, and—heck, they just might make you want to run indoors. And don’t just take it from us: Treadmill classes are the fastest-growing trend on ClassPass, Best Wireless Earbuds website.

Often featuring mood lighting, upbeat music, and supportive instructors who take you through a 30- to 60-minute workout, these classes are a great alternative to slugging it out solo. Here are 11 treadmill classes you will want to check out either digitally or IRL. (Locations vary by region.)

If you want to try a treadmill class, but aren’t ready to commit to 60 minutes of straight running, try Orangetheory’s full-body, interval-based workout. The class incorporates the treadmill, water rower, and strength training—making it a great cross-training option for runners.

Using heart-rate monitors, class participants track their performance as they move through circuits and work to raise their target heart rate, aiming for at least 12 minutes in the “Orange Zone,” which helps boost metabolism and calorie burn postworkout. The 60-minute class is led by a certified coach, and is made for runners of all levels. The upside is that because it is a franchise, there are studios popping up all over the country. The downside is that means that the consistency of the coaches is hard to maintain. Do a little research and if you find a coach you love, stick with him or her.
