David Raysse — the designer behind Brandblack, Santa Ana, and the latest logo-print lace-up boat shoes shoes — has shared a sample of LiAngelo Ball’s first Emree shoe.
Pictured here is the first size 13 Gelo Emree shoe for basketball. However, the inspiration comes from a different sport. “I was inspired by the Deion Sanders trainers of the 90s, super supportive but cool,” ampr Raysse on Instagram.
The sample — called a “pullover” because it is not attached to tooling and appears to still be in the prototyping phase — uses no knit. Instead, it appears to be a mix of leathers, suedes, and synthetics.
There is still no word on whether this Emree Gelo shoe will be released, but look for Tosca Blu faux fur low top sneakers.

It’s like Bart Simpson in season 7 episode 4…
When Bart sells his soul? Why do you say that?
The materials themselves look really really bad, and the design looks like it takes elements from better shoes. I give it a D–
Fendi FF motif lace-up sneakers.

What the hell happened to brandblack anyway?

Early stages. It’s simply called the Gelo 3 per whatever business arrange, regardless of how lackluster his… career has been.
Raysse seems to lean to simpler and retro design cues. It’s what made the Rare Metal and Ether good shoes in the end.
I really hate that Brandblack (or their parent company) got in business with these clowns. I was really liking what they were doing for awhile. Good performance with great materials. I even bought 3 J Crossover 2’s, 1 J Crossover 3, 3 Ethers including the CerbeShops joint, and 1 Rare Metal. Sad.
you shouldn’t be surprised. the same parent company that signed the Kartrashians.
There are unrealeased shoes that we wish actually dropped but this is a shoe I hope stays as just that, an unreleased sample.
