Unveiled alongside the brand-new Jordan Crater Air Jordan 5 Retro GP Light Aqua 440893-100 Air Jordan retro incorporates recycled polyester throughout its synthetic suede upper. Scarlet serrated stitching at the heel and on the tongue label interrupt the pair’s muted color palette; accompanying “ZOOM” branding and exposed foam collars and tongue lining do too with their respective light grey and yellow makeups. This Jordan 1’s highlight, however, is the speckled Nike Grind rubber in the foam outsole, a material that’s also made its way onto the classic Air Grey Jordan 13 Lucky Green Kids Collection. Combined with full-length Zoom Air cushioning, the “trash-transformed” material propels the 35-year-old-design into the next three decades and beyond.
An official Nike SNKRS release date is still unknown, but the Jordan 1 High Zoom Crater is scheduled for a September 1st release in Japan. A wider date is TBD.
