Nearly ten years ago, the nike jkt LeBron line went through a swift change as the young King ditched his hometown Ohio for the warmer pastures of South Beach. Suddenly, teal and pink became ingrained in the LeBron footwear fabric, bursting onto the scene with the infamous LeBron 8 “South Beach” release that launched right before his official debut in Miami. As part of the grand introduction to the Heat fans, LeBron, joined by Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, promised multiple NBA championships right outta the gate.
This LeBron 8 V2 dubbed “Miami Nights” was believed to be a nod to LeBron’s first NBA championship in his first season with his new team. Once again leaning on the South Beach teal and pink, nike jkt added a full confetti-like pattern to mimic the celebratory party favor scene during championship parades. Of course, things didn’t go as planned as the Floridian super-team fell to the hotter Dallas Mavericks led by Dirk Nowitzki. This unexpected loss is probably what forced nike jkt from postponing the release of the LeBron 8 Low V2 “Miami Nights”; it was likely pantalon to drop right after the Finals, but we didn’t see a release until September of that year.
Currently, the LeBron 8 Low V2 “Miami Nights” is listed on some release calendars for May 11th, 2021, but given how fragile release dates have been this year, it can always be subject to change. For now, mark your calendars for 5/11/21 and stay tuned for updates.
