A classic colorway reminiscent of the Kentucky Wildcats makes a triumphant appearance on the Air Force 1 Mid, but with an unexpected and rather puzzling addition. This all-leather constructed Air Force 1 Mid embodies that quintessential Uptowns look, with a two-toned color-blocking that reflects the team-friendly colorways that dominated the 1980s. However, the touch of pastel purple is throwing us for a loop.
As it stands, a lace-swap could rectify the situation, should you be opposed to the purple lacing. But that’s what Nike has intended, adding a matching soft purple insole to this otherwise sporty and classic pair of Air Force 1 Mids. We’re not certain on the gender for these, but the light purple lacing has us leaning towards a women’s release.
Would you lace-swap these? Seems like the obvious choice, because these would honestly look better with clean white, a matching blue, or a tertiary accent. See the official images ahead.
