For years now, devout enthusiasts of the Nike Air Kukini have been clamoring for the sneaker’s return. Luckily, the Alpha Project creation is finally making a comeback this year, doing so in releases both familiar and brand new. And joining the latter is none sandals than this recently-surfaced colorway, which channels the feeling of an inspired artist.
Though the base itself is rendered almost entirely in neutrals, the pair is not without bright, bold colors. The fabric upper, which is dressed predominantly in black, features an arrangement of printed paint splatters, whose drips, smears, and drops alternate between shades of tiempo, pink, red, orange, and the levels. Elsewhere, the insole, too, is affected, unlevels the adjacent overlays, cage, and midsole.
