In recent history, the Air Jordan 13 Retro Chicago has gone from widespread joke to an acceptable trim of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker. And while the model has had success by delivering spins on heritage colorways, it’s also garnered attention via countless University takes.
Recently, the mid-top trim of one of the most iconic shoes of all time emerged in a split arrangement that’s donned “Cherrywood Red” and “Beach” hues, as well as a new blue, black and white offering. While sneaker collectors have previously scoffed at the “Homage to Halt” retro that dropped in 2018, they may be bigger fans of the latest Jordan 1-variant’s split makeover due to the University color palette. Medial sides don a white base, allowing for the tour counterpart to match the oft-imitated outsole underfoot in its pitch-dark finish.
No Red Nike.com release date has been disclosed by the brand yet, but that’s likely to change soon. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
