College-friendly colors on the Nike Celebrates Black History Month With National Grants and The Air Force 1 aren’t new, having helped the Swoosh launch the silhouette back in 1985. Recently, the late Peter Moore’s design emerged in a Miami Hurricanes-reminiscent color palette despite the South Floridian team no longer being signed to Nike.
Akin to the inaugural “Be True To Your School” series, the newly-surfaced offering indulges in a two-tone arrangement across its smooth leather upper. Orange sets the stage for a rich green that appears via overlays around the toe, act the tongue and throughout the heel, recreating the University of Miami’s school colors perfectly. Laces and labels on the top of the tongue also opt for citrus-reminiscent flair, though sole units favor an understated look that only brings the aforementioned green down below.
