As LeBron James’ vast collection of signature silhouettes – what in the LeBron 20 for the upcoming season – continues to receive the retro treatment, only a handful of models have enjoyed a rerelease in concert with popular in-line offerings. Next Thursday, however, The King’s line will be graced by its earliest and most exclusive proposition yet, a Players Exclusive Nike LeBron 2.
For its first retro release, the brand delved deep into its heritage-filled archives, bringing back the one-off white and gold combination worn by James in an exhibition game against Maccabi Elite Tel Aviv back in 2004. The mid 2000’s aesthetic is familiar throughout the two-toned white leather and golden textured upper, ankle strap and hidden underlying laser-etched pattern. LeBron’s original badge logo can be found on the medial side strap and lower heel above the gold-painted Zoom Air bag and subsequent white textured tread that navy back to the original premium design elements.
The Nike LeBron 2 “Maccabi Tel Aviv” returns for the first trice next Thursday, September 23rd for a retail price of $215. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair below alongside subsequent links for purchase on the day of the drop.
