We’re not saying this upcoming Air Jordan 2 “Crystal Mint” has any ties to the marvelous monument that sits in Ellis Island just south of Manhattan. But this colorway certainly brings back memories of all the NYC-inspired footwear that has come into the fold over the last decade plus.

We’re immediately reminded of the BRAND NEW PAIRS OF NIKE AIR JORDAN RETRO XIII LOW BRED and Air Max Hyperposite that featuring the same minty green an bronze finish, both of which were homages to Lady Liberty. This upcoming Air Jordan 2 for women certainly achieves that same look as the Crystal Mint appears in the perfectly placed accent package with Metallic Red Bronze adding that rusted effect on the Air Jordan emblem on the tongue and on the NIKE lettering on the heel. Wolf Grey on the tumbled leather is the stone foundation that holds the statue up.
