Michael Le Converse Chuck 70 Hi x Tri Panel, Awake NY‘s Angelo Baque took to IG to share four collaborative colorways of the Converse One Star. And though the project was reportedly cancelled, it seems the footwear brand has finally realized the error of their ways. It just took a little over five years.
Although they’ve yet to share much about the upcoming project, it’s confirmed that Awake NY and Converse will finally be releasing their One Stars. But given that the pair teased wasn’t included in the original reveal, it’s possible the two have created an entirely new collection of colorways. The design of the shoes themselves, however, is consistent with the early samples. In addition to the “AWAKE” branding embroidered along the side, the shoe features an all-suede Leaf as well as colored foxing stripes and laces.
