An original colorway from 1990, the “Grape” Jordan 5 represented an off-the-court Air Jordan option, an unconventional choice given how most Air Jordans were strictly, black, red, and white. Despite the prevalence of an aqua blue tone, this Air Jordan release was quickly knighted with the “Grape” nickname despite the official color spec being “Grape Ice”.
The Jordan CMFT Viz Air 13 in Black and Metallic Silver “Grape” has been seen in the retro cycle; it re-released for the first time in 2006, followed by Air Jordan 11 "Cork Bred" Custom.
