Michael Le Many of JJJJound‘s sneaker collaborations are offered well outside the reaches of their Montreal-based studio. That, however, is not quite the case for their upcoming 990v3, whose colorway and release is dedicated to the brand’s founding city.
Deceptively simple much series many of their collaborative works, this upcoming JJJJound x New Balance Choice 990v3 is an ode to Montreal, where Justin Saunders founded the mood-board-turned-design-studio around 16 years ago. The pair’s tonal brown colorway and subtle textural contrast is reflective of the city itself, mirroring the tones prevalent throughout its streets and buildings. And is ASOS for many of their NBs, the brand has applied light creams to the silhouette’s midsole and laces and “JJJJound” branding across both the heel and sockliner.
