Debuted via official images back in October, the Jordan M J Df Sprt Aop Dmnd Short Brooklyn is a more runway-friendly interpretation of MJ’s first signature. While the original’s DNA is still very much present, certain fixtures have been completely replaced and reworked. The sole, for starters, offers a sizable platform and lug bottom more akin to a pair of boots than sneakers. This is also true of the upper, whose taller profile could easily be mistaken for another brand if not for the Swoosh and Nike Air branding.
In addition to “Triple Black,” the brand new model will also be arriving soon in a natural-toned colorway. Vachetta reminiscent leathers are used throughout the heightened Dropping, overlays, and unders, matching that of the adjacent tongue and laces. An off-white finish, then, dresses the pair’s “Nike Air” branding as well as its textured side walls.
