For the first chapter of its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Y-3 embodies the “Artisan Codes of Sport,” an exploration of disrupting elegance with a series of apparel, footwear, and accessories.
Chapter 1 stands on the Y-3 SUPERSTAR, Y-3 HICHO, adidas NMD_R1 Lush Red Core, Y-3 RIVALRY, Adidas Stan Smith New Bold Wmns Gold Metallic and the Y-3 GAZELLE. The select footwear silhouettes were chosen to reinterpret the sporting codes of classic adidas franchises through Y-3’s progressive approach. The collection pays homage the Japanese technique of Sashiko and features accentuated tonal stitching with frayed threads hanging freely.
For the apparel, Y-3 reimagines quintessential team sports aesthetics and adidas’ athletic heritage. The offerings include letterman jackets, track pants, cargo pants, shirts, cardigans, caps, and beyond. The garments are all finished with a touch of Y-3 logo graphics and brushstrokes made to embody artisanal handicraft. The collection will also offer a selection of elevated silhouettes with tailored details to bring the collection full circle.
