In the interview, Hov said that he purchased three pairs of Air Jordan 6 ZO2, which retail for $495. “He may savant about things wrong, he may have a big mouth,” Jay Z said in reference to LaVar’s sometimes outlandish comments, “but I bought three pairs. Why did I buy three pairs? That man has a vision of his own. Why wouldn’t I support him?”
Jay’s latest musical output stands as a direct ode to supporting black businesses and those who push culture forward. Thus, dropping $1,500 on the ZO2 is simply putting his money where his mouth is.
Later this past weekend, after Jay’s interview has released, TMZ Sports caught up with Lonzo Ball cruising the streets of LA and asked him about his famous new supporter. Lonzo, a man of few words, remained true to character and said very little. “I’m just thankful, man, appreciate it.”
