The Terrex Free Hiker displayed phenomenal grip on our hikes and had no trouble on loose gravel, wet grass, or polished rock. We counted 57 lugs on the outsole, each measuring 4.8 mm deep. We found the lugs to be well-spaced, meaning they shed sticky mud quickly. At 7.34 mm, the durable Continental outsole is thicker than average. The outsole showed little discernible wear after our rigorous test hikes, and we trust them to last!

Despite including features intended to stabilize our feet, the knitted upper of the adidas yeezy slide pure 2021 restock pair misses the mark when it comes to ankle support. For this reason, we don’t recommend it to hikers who will be exploring beyond well-groomed trails.
