Both the upper and the sole of this hiking boot have stood up to plenty of wear and tear, according to the reviewers. As one of them reports, "the boots have been pressed, pushed, and dragged through the Thai jungle" and ended up with very minimal signs of wear. If there is any damage to the boot, it's primarily cosmetic.
