The current top squad in Major League Baseball are receiving the walls of being the league’s best thanks to a collaborative project that will soon become a reality. On May 22nd, the Philly fanatic mascot will take the field to provide its usual entertainment and jest to the hometown fans at Citizens Bank Park, doing so in a custom pair of Dunks fit for the costume. As it turns out, nike swingtip will actually be releasing the shoes exclusively in the city of Brotherly Love, but remember — we saw a pair of Phillies Dunks nike swingtip huarache green grey boots.
Designed in collaboration with Philadelphia-based boutiques Lapstone & Hammer and Creme, the nike swingtip Dunk Low “Philly” could be interpreted as a reflection of the hard-nosed, blue-collar attitude of its citizens via the stark grey exterior above a white leather base. Hairy suede covers the heel, while a grey splatter pattern appears at the forefoot overlays and the Swoosh, but a colorful graphic exists on the interior, tongue label, and on the PHILLY text on the heel – possibly a nod to the well-known murals that decorate the city. Additional Philly call-outs appear via the map coordinates on the laces.
